STORAGE DRAWER MAKE-OVER

This is truley a bittersweeet time in my life.  My oldest daughter is leaving for college in exactly 15 days.  I have been putting it out of my mind trying not to think about it since she graduated.  With just two weeks left, I guess its time to start thinking about it and getting the dorm room projects finished!

We knew she would need extra storage that would be easy to use and then easy to pack and move at the end of each semester so, we got the plain plastic storage drawers!  They were  kinda boring so I decided to dress them up!

I started by taking measurements of the drawers and making templates.

This was a little trickier than I thought it would be because the drawers have a raised panel kind of look instead of just a flat panel. Each drawer needed two pieces with an arch design. (note to anyone who might want to try this… get the ones with the plain front darwers!)

After getting the pieces cut I used hot glue to attach them on the inside of the drwers.

THE FINISHED PRODUCT!

These are amazing! And my heart goes out to you, it’s so hard when they fly the nest. I cried after I left my boys at uni. And I still miss them.
